BIOGRAPHY
Yuka Yoshino
Through my photography, I express the sense of disconnection I feel between myself and society in everyday life.
My main sources of inspiration are the picture books I read as a child and my experience training to become a stage actor.
Picture books often show the structure of adult society using language children can understand.
When I was studying acting, I explored the personalities, cultures, and historical contexts of each character again and again.
I also remember the feeling of trying to make my body believe in fiction.
These experiences continue to inspire my creative work today.
Graduated from the Department of Photography, Faculty of Art, Tokyo Polytechnic University.
